Milling

Covers the full range from coarse crushing to ultrafine grinding, efficiently processes various complex materials including high-hardness, highly abrasive, and heat-sensitive types, and enables precise control of particle size and morphology.

Rotoplex Ro

Rotoplex Ro

This product line has almost achieved cult status. The concept and the sturdy machine design make it ideal for any cuttable material – especially if high cutting forces and high throughput rates are required.

Principle of Operation

This product line has almost achieved cult status in Alpines granulator range. It is characterised by an extremely powerful and robust design, incorporating the Alpine cross-scissor cut rotor. High-grade spheroidal graphite cast iron in GGG-40 quality ensures that even in continuous heavy-duty operation, the Rotoplex granulators do their job reliably over many years.

Features

  • Rotors in patented Alpine cross-scissor-cut technology

  • Compact design

  • Easy to clean

  • Excellent value for money

  • Also available in stainless steel

We are making history!

60 years of Rotoplex: Technical innovation to perfection

Who can claim that their system has been on the market for over six decades? We can!

The starting signal for this decisive development was given years earlier.
We have compiled an overview of the biggest technical developments at Rotoplex here:

  • 1954: The first machine with a horizontal rotor was constructed and the name Rotoplex was registered as a trademark for the first time

  • 1956: The first machine with a vertical rotor was developed

  • 1965: The Alpine Rotoplex Ro granulator rolls off the production line in its “current” form for the first time in Augsburg

  • seit 1965: Introduction & Export to markets worldwide

  • 1972: The Rotoplex is used for the first time for shredding cable waste

  • 1984: Further development with patented cross-shear cut (lower load peaks and even wear)

  • 1988: Development of the largest rotor diameter in Rotoplex history to date: the Alpine Rotoplex Ro 125/125

  • 2003: Further development of the Rotoplex for wet grinding operation

  • 2024: Optimization of the rotor for recycling fibres and textiles

  • 2025: Around 8,000 systems sold worldwide
