Barite

Barite is an important functional mineral filler in the global industrial field, and together with limestone, dolomite, talc and perlite, it constitutes the mainstream mineral filler system. With stable chemical properties, high density and moderate whiteness, its core application scenario is the paper industry. As a functional filler, it can significantly improve the smoothness, opacity and printability of paper while reducing production costs.

In view of the processing characteristics of barite filler and market pain points, our company provides two mature solutions: dry ultrafine grinding and classification system and wet ultrafine grinding system, which can fully cover different capacity and fineness requirements.


Solution 1

Dry Ultrafine Grinding and Classification System (ATR Agitated Ball Mill + ATP Multi-wheel Classifier)

Applicable scenarios: Large-scale production of dry barite ultrafine fillers, suitable for multiple industries such as plastics, coatings and general papermaking.

Equipment composition: Hosokawa Alpine ATR dry agitated ball mill + 315/6 ATP-S/GS multi-wheel classifier + pulse dust collector + automatic control system.

Solution advantages:

Ultra-high fineness and precise classification: ATR technology can realize ultrafine grinding. Combined with ATP multi-wheel classifier, it can strictly control the content of coarse particles, ensure narrow and uniform particle size distribution, and fully meet the quality requirements of the high-end paper industry.

Low energy consumption and high reliability: ATR agitated ball mill adopts a unique grinding principle, and its energy utilization rate is higher than that of conventional ball mills. The equipment has a long design life and can realize continuous unattended operation, greatly reducing operation and maintenance costs.

High system integration: The whole system adopts modular design with compact structure, and the floor area is reduced by 40% compared with traditional processes. Equipped with in-line particle size analysis and automatic control system, it can adjust process parameters in real time to ensure stable product quality.


Solution 2

Wet Ultrafine Grinding System (ANR Wet Agitated Ball Mill)

Applicable scenarios: Production of wet barite slurry, which is directly supplied to paper mills, eliminating the subsequent drying and re-dispersion processes.

Equipment composition: ANR wet agitated ball mill + slurry conveying system + in-line concentration control system.

Solution advantages:

Continuous production: The equipment is specially designed for continuous industrial production with stable operation and minimal quality difference between product batches. It can be seamlessly connected with the downstream papermaking production line to realize full-process automation.

Excellent product quality: Wet grinding can effectively protect the crystal structure of barite. The product has high whiteness and low oil absorption value. As a papermaking filler, it can significantly improve the physical properties and printing effect of paper.
